Natural Genius

This collection from Listone Giordano is hardwood flooring reimagined. Inspired by contemporary design concepts, Natural Genius redefines the aesthetics of common floor patterns as conceptualized by Italian designers, Michele De Lucchi, Patricia Urquiola, Daniele Lago, Marc Sadler, and Paola Lenti.

Foxtrot

Foxtrot stands out for its uniform yet refreshing pattern that can constantly generate new, different shapes from simply adjusting the orientation of the adjacent pattern. Inspired by the works of Mies van der Rohe and Mondrian, designer Matteo Nunziati brings out the interweaving of lines, squares, and rectangles that freely come together to create new surfaces.

Medoc

Medoc is a wood floor designed by Michele De Lucchi and Philippe Nigro. Its simplicity and trapezoidal panels are inspired by the tapered shape of wooden logs and from the past, when planks were not obsessively straightened. The imprecise sawn cut surface also enhances the tactile feeling and 3D effects of the French Oak.

Slide

Through different orientations of trapezoidal shapes, Slide creates several dynamic shapes that fit perfectly together. As designer Daniele Lago envisioned, this allows anyone to create their own unique patterns and be a part of the design.

Biscuit

Biscuit is a project developed from the concept of softness and is characterized by its distinct and curved cuts that create a free a composition of lines and shapes. Designer Patricia Urquiola balances the sustainable quality of wood with formal creativity in a project.

Conte

Derived from the Ancient Roman model, Opus incertum, a construction technique that stacks irregularly shaped stones to produce a wall, Conte makes use of square and rectangular shapes together with alternating wood grains to create an unoriented floor that allows for free and fluid spatial sequences. It is designed by Alexander Brenner.

Fabrique

Fabrique is a seamless birch wood surface with a uniform and organic texture and an almost monolithic aesthetic effect. Designer Marc Sadler aimed to create a naked floor with the top layer appearing to look like fabric or carpeting.

Perigal

A result from the intense partnership between Listone Giordano and Paola Lenti, the Perigal is inspired by the geometric representation of the Pythagorean theorem. It embraces the angular aspects of the trapezoids and incorporates the predictable diagonal lines from the design.

Loop

Loop was designed by Sebastiano Canzano as a repetitive pattern without limits that goes beyond the usual shapes and forms of wood panels. Removed from the defined and rigid structures of the classic designs, Loop is able to seamlessly embrace a space with amusing naturalness.

Factum

The Factum design is a collaboration between Listone Giordano and artists Dante Osca Benini & Luca Gonzo. With the artistic thoughts of the great masters in mind, the main idea of their design is a square element that offers a distillate of pure Italian style. The panels create endless compositions and rhythms give life to floors and walls as if they are carpets or elegant tapestries.
